Happy Beltane
May. 1st, 2007 03:18 pmJust a quick note to say Happy Beltane and/or May Day to those of you who celebrate it -- and what the hell, even for those of you who don't, just go ahead and have a good day, anyway.
Also, today is the debut of HER newest Dead Sexy.
I'll be celebrating a number of things tonight. Not the least of which is that I finished the revisions/polish on Her third book -- which is going through a bit of a title connundrum right now. It's been all sorts of things-- Bloody Smashing, Bloody Charming, and now, perhaps, Drop-Dead Gorgeous. I'm fond of Bloody Charming, but it doesn't have Dead in the title like the other two. The problem, of course, is that every other paranormal romance writer in the universe has used up every clever pun on dead that you could think of. If anyone out there has clever title ideas, I'm all ears.
Unfortunately, my celebration is going to be somewhat muted as I'm sick (and alone). I caught a cold Mason had been incubating. Normally, these sorts of things get passed to Shawn who has one of the weakest constitutions in the known universe. I used to tease her that while I had a constitution 18+, she had a 2. This time I missed my saving throw and ended up on the fumble chart. (Oh, and if you followed all that you're at least as big a geek as I am.) The point is, I'm sick as a dog. Much snuffling and hacking to be had. Whee.
As for the alone bit, Shawn is off on a work conference in Arizona for four days and I'm getting a taste of what life would be like if I were a single parent -- without day care.
Oh, and I'm bleeding.
