....I guess we were JUST missed by an asteroid this morning!* Apparently, TD54 came within 28,000 miles of Earth.

I think I'm glad I slept through this.

The "asteroid" was 5-10 meters across. That's enough for an impressive boom, but no threat unless you're really nearby.

Oooh, wow. The benefits of being blissfully ignorant about such things. =O 28,000 miles sounds like a lot of distance until you stop and consider it in terms of the UNIVERSE.
