Calling all Zombies!
Mar. 13th, 2008 10:08 amHey, you zombie writers out there! Check out this fabulously well-paying (5 cents a word!!) market for zombie flash fiction (500 words or less)!
Also, for the local folks I wanted to give you a heads-up about an up-coming reading of mine: Wednesday, March 26, 2008 starting at 7:00 pm at Intermedia Arts, I'll be taking part in the Carol Connelly GLBT reading series with Elizabeth DiGrazia, hosted by Andrea Jenkins and John Medeiros. Intermedia Arts is located at 2822 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55408. For more information call: (612) 871-4444. The event is free and open to the public, although a $5.00 donation is recommended. On an amusing note, the only story I have with any GLBT content is the one collected in PERIPHERY, so I may try to read that. However, given how embarrassed I am by reading anything with sexual overtones, it might be an odd reading.
Also, Shawn sent me this fascinating article from the BBC News about a Dolphin that Rescued some Beached Whales. Besides the mind-boggling idea that the dolphin actually may have "said" something to the whales, I love the last line where the researcher admits to having gone out to give the dolphin a hug!
