Snowy Day

Today is lefse day!  We always make a fresh batch for the holidays (we'll do it again for Christmas/Solstice.) We make our lefse from a box, because I actually like the taste when lefse is made from instant potatoes. Also, it makes that part of the process dead easy.

I hope all of my friends who got snow today also got the opportunity NOT to have to go out in it!  Have a great Thanksgiving, y'all.

BUTTERCUP! What a beauty! The quilt looks really nice too. Of course you made one for the cats. I mean, if I had any skills of that sort, I would do the same.

I made a bunch of quilts for that cats, actually. Buttercup likes to lay down next to our fake fireplace and so he has a quilted binkie there. There are quilts on every radiator so that cats can sit and enjoy the warmth.

Oh, so much nicer than our collection of scraps of fleece, including a ridiculous leopard print one that arrived with Saffron and that she is like Linus with his blanket about.

I spent my Wednesday driving to Chicago for a family Thanksgiving. Luckily, it wasn't too bad. I returned today instead of Saturday because of the dire weather forecasts for tomorrow.

I am about to write about my Thnanksgiving, but the short of it is that I spent it in the hospital. One of our friends who came down for Friendsgiving from Michigan arrived and had to go immediately to the ER with a terrible infection. So, we spent much of Thanksgiving visiting him. But, the good news is that he's recovered and at home (with meds.)
