In LaCrosse

naomikritzer noted that my family and I travel a lot. It's true. Despite the predictions of a dire snow storm, we're here in LaCrosse, Wisconsin visiting my parents. Mason has been having a blast since the moment he walked in. Shawn and I napped (for the first time in months). We were all planning to check out Norskedalen in Coon Rapids, which is a Norwegian farm/nature center, but the snow is already coming down in buckets. I'd be disappointed, but I'm not sure Mason cares on wit. He'd be happy to be with his grandparents whatever we're doing. Me, I'm just pleased to have two sets of hands (three if you include Shawn, who is often at work,) to help keep Mason entertained. It means I might get some of my own writing done or... or maybe even more napping!
Today is Shawn and my anniversary. We've been together 22 years.
I gave her some bling yesterday, and the florist was supposed to deliver 23 roses (a red one for every year we've been together, plus one white one that represents the future), but they screwed up and didn't get the order together before we had to leave town. I had to spoil the surprise, but they'll be delivered on Monday... which works out because Shawn wouldn't have been able to enjoy them while down here in LaCrosse, anyway.
Well, I must go bathe. It's important to keep up the hygeine even on vacataion, especially if you want to get kissed today.
