We finally pulled the trigger, as it were, and ordered me a new interface with the outside world. I am now eagerly awaiting a new tablet.

We decided not to buy a new laptop for a number of reasons, but most of which distill down to: they don't make them like they used to. What I need for writing, I already have in my ancient Gateway. HOWEVER, what I need for the era of Zooming, I do not have. So, we compromised and bought me a fancy new, high end tablet so that I can use that for all my various video conferencing needs.

Now, I'm just waiting on FedEx to cough it up!!

This is particularly germane because I recently signed up to attend WisCON virtually.  I also had such fun at a virtual party that I'm suddenly looking at ALL the cons and would love to know which cons y'all are going to try this year, virtually, and I will sign up for them ALL!!

Right, it's too nice out not to go for a walk, so I will write more about my life tomorrow.

Cool. I have one of those. It's a nice machine. The pencil and keyboard are also nice accessories.

Work recently purchased one of the new iPad Pros so that I could do some work on it. It's quite pretty, and really light, but hella expensive.

Yeah, tablet!

We bought me an android tab 4-5 years back, theoretically for work (taking credit sales on Square), but it rapidly became my everyday device for browsing, checking email, occasionally blogging. (Though that's still easier on a keyboard where I can touch type.)

Now have one for Denise, a new one for me (I wore my first one out eventually), and I use it all the time. It's even replaced my loose-leaf binder for reference photos for glazing; Google images FTW.

[personal profile] marthawells plans to attend the online-only con Flights of Foundry, which is this weekend. It says that it is for creators, and that term certainly applies to you. Registration is free, but they accept donations.
