All you folks who were at WisCON, tell me how it was!! I'm dying to know.

We had a great time in LaCrosse, as usual, with some hikes along the marsh trail and a couple of aborted attempts to go to the carnival in Onalaska (--just as well. It was HOT.)

Mason is now back at school and I just realized HOW SOON my (okay, Tate's second YA,) book is due. Even though our friends, the Jacksons, are in town for a couple of days, I'm going to have to put my head down and get busy.

Of course that kind of pressure just makes me want to be distracted by everything else.

Can't help you with WisCon, but I'll be at the Coffee Ground until ~3:15 writing, if you want to stop by and be ignored while we both work. :)

And you were missed. Are you coming back to a Wiscon any time soon?

This was my 5th con. Every one has been different. This one was more racially diverse than in years past; I liked it! But I slowly realized that some regular attendees are afeard of their con being taken over by newbies.

This year there were not as many of my 'regulars,' due to financial problems in the world at large.

You were missed...

***At the "Madison as fantastic location" panel - but we talked about you anyway!
***At the Broad Universe Party - but we talked about you anyway.
***By Warren and I - but we talked about you and Shawn and Mason anyway!
Until next year!

'Twas awesome, of course, event though we missed you. You and Tate were mentioned in a panel description, BTW.

I roomed with [livejournal.com profile] jenwrites, as usual, and we were official happy dancers at the Tiptree auction. Ellen Klages has a bad knee, and last year she got her sister to do the happy dance whenever someone bid over $100. This year she got people in the audience to do it, including me.

I didn't go to any parties this year. I needed the rest more.

My reading went well. Everyone laughed in all the right places.

You should come next year.
