Post-caucus tired
Feb. 3rd, 2010 10:26 amOkay, actually, I was only at my caucus last night long enough to cast my vote for governor and leave, but I stopped to get coffee (thinking it might take longer than it did) beforehand and I ended up staying up until after midnight writing on Mouse.
Plus, and I think I've mentioned this before, but Shawn is a sleep talker. Last night... just as I was finally unjittering myself and starting to fall asleep, she WHIPPED on the light and started yelling about how she had to find a peice of plastic that came with the computers. That sounded just reasonable enought that I started asking questions like, "what, right now?" until I realized she was still asleep. The funny thing about having lived with Shawn for all these years is that not only do I now tell her, "Honey, honey! You're asleep," but she also grouses back at me (still sound asleep) "I am not... okay, maybe a little."
Then, I was finally started to fall back asleep when, like an irritated cat, she swept her hand across a pile of books which WHAPPED to the floor. Then, she WHIPPED on the light again and said, "See, I do have something to really do."
I thought, "Wow, that's pretty hillarious. Maybe she's actually awake," but, this morning I asked her about it and she had no memory of any of it.
Suffice to say, I'm pretty sleepy this morning. Crackly, actually. You know, that way-too wired feeling... that's me.
Anyway, I'm off. It's Wednesday and I'm assuming I'm off to meet Eleanor and
naomikritzer and possibly
pens_and_swords at the coffeeshop for writing.
