Happy Birthday, Shawn!

lydamorehouseIt's no April Fool's joke! My partner turns 42 today. And just for the occasion Mother Nature ordered up a lovely snow....hmmm, maybe that part is the practical joke.
Thanks to an extremely tight budget, I'm actually off today to go get presents for the big night (the first is also, as it happens, payday.) The babysitter is booked, and Shawn has decided that what she really wants is a place that will serve plentiful Margaritas and fried icecream. I'm also going to bake a cake this afternoon (because I can!)
Probably the thing that would make Shawn happiest is if she came home to a clean house. I may take some writing time this afternoon and spiff the place up for her. (Sad, aren't we?)
