Yikes! I've never understood the St. Paul snow emergency rules, but that just sounds NUTS. Considering that the average under-car clearance is about 9", how much do you want to bet that a significant number of vehicles just ended up bottomed out in the middle of the street?

The Minneapolis system actually works pretty well, and the plow patrol was really on top of things today. Everything is copacetic.

That's probably just the adrenaline high from successfully moving 2 vehicles without anybody even having to push! It was way easier than the last big snowfall (January? I've already forgotten) which took hours and involved 2 or 3 neighbors, a guy sheet-rocking in the house across the street, and some other guy who was just walking his dog.
