Day in the Life of an Idiot

Yeah, it's standard to talk about books as fiction. But I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that movies aren't fiction. My understanding of it is that fiction is a genre, just like non-fiction is a genre. Books, movies, video games, and (some) music are mediums to express that genre.

(re: music: There are some music that definitely falls into the fiction category. I immediately think of Janelle Monáe's Dirty Computer universe, which has been explored in her music, an "Emotion picture" [as she calls it] and even in a book.)
