This whole thing will be under the cut, in case you just don't want sad, elderly cat information. The short of it is: she is still with us, but not for long.
We made it back Saturday evening. I haven't had the spoons to report much, because Ms. Piggy is now is a rapid decline. She is currently curled up against my chest, as it seems to be a position that give her some comfort. I think, as some of you may have suggested, she waited for us. She's been having labored breathing for some time now, but if she's held and petted, seems at ease about it all. It's very in keeping with Ms. Piggy's personality that she be as demanding in death as she was in life.
It's probably going to be another long day.
I keep wondering if we should call a vet, but I think that decision would be for our comfort, not hers.
