Oh dear
This is smaller-scale reminiscent of the Europeans who think they can do a day trip to the Grand Canyon while they're in NYC.
(Okay, in fact, Central Park is only a half mile wide. But there are relatively few spots where there's a straight-across walking route, the whole park is kind of designed to MAKE you meander even if you're the sort of Type A personality that constitutes 99.9% of Manhattanites.)
