St. Patrick vs. St. Paul
Mar. 17th, 2010 10:39 amHappy Saint Patrick's day from Saint Paul. I'm about to fight my way into downtown to pick up Eleanor for our usual writing date, and I'm hoping that if I sneak in the back way I'll avoid much of the crazy that is Saint Paul on Saint Patrick's day. (Parade begins at noon!)
Speaking of Saint Paul, just yesterday I was complaining that our town was named after one of my least favorite saints. I still think Pig's Eye would have made a lovely capitol city of Minnesota. Brigid would have made a better choice, given both the number of Irish settlers AND pagans currently living in Saint Paul.
Let's start a campaign shall we? St. Brigid, Minnesota! (Kidding, BTW.)
