Google Alert let me know that I was mentioned in two seperate year end/best books of 2006. Saint Paul Pioneer Press's Mary Ann Grossman mentioned Alternate Me in her articleEloquently Stated: From the book awards to Garrision Keillor's new shop, literary Minnesotans made news worth publishing in 2006 and Ollie Reed, Jr. of the Alberquerque Tribune mentioned Fallen Host in his Book Lovers list of Favorite Reads of the Year, which seems wicked unfair, since anyone comeing across this reference won't be able to order it since it's been remainered.

Who knows? Maybe a grassroots campaign will build up to get your books back in print :)

Congratulations!

I don't know whether this will comfort or infuriate you, but when I sign on to Amazon.com it keeps recommending that I buy Fallen Host. It thinks I would like it. It is of course right...but how would I be supposed to buy it?

Happy new year,

The Plaid Adder

Amazon, etc.

Lyda, you should go to your Amazon page and leave folks a note to get in touch with Uncle Hugo's if they want to get a copy of Fallen Host. Amazon would be the first place that they would look, but also, anyone worth their salt at googling should find you here, and as long as they can route through to an email addy of some sort, or a note about Uncle Hugo's, they can get it.

They're not a real place, just a collection of data. Is anyone actually sitting at Amazon reading all of the postings? No. So, no big bad. Y0ou should also post something about that on your own website, since the first place I would look for an author's book that was out of print is their website, if I could find it. Googling "Lyda Morehouse" sure as hell brings yours up fast enough. (And the second place I would oook is EBay...)

Eye of Horus still has a couple. I know, we just did inventory last weekend. I don't know if we've got the books on our website, though.

You know, if they won't put fallen.
