Day in the Life of an Idiot

I have the "you forgot to ever go to this one class" dream occasionally still, and I used to have a regular round of the "you're in a play and it's opening night! only you never rehearsed, don't know your lines, or your character, or even what play it is" one.

My most frequent recurrent dream of recent years involves a trip for which I am grossly unprepared. Usually I'm about to travel internationally, and it's time to go to the airport and I realize I never packed a bag. I then get to the airport and realize I don't have my passport, though occasionally I make it all the way onto the airplane and into the air before discovering I forgot it. I think this one is a metaphor for parenting anxieties, actually.
