Quick Hello and Happy New Year

lydamorehouseOkay, so I'm a day late with the New Year greeting, but I spent much of the day yesterday reviewing my reader's proofs for Tate's DEAD IF I DO. Had a couple of awkward moments when I cracked myself up. (There is, IMHO, a really funny scene with William, Parrish, and Garnet [and her cell phone] in Madison's Club 5, a gay bar.) Oh, and if anyone had hopes the the whole William/Parrish thing might be canon, I did NOT let you down.
Meanwhile, I passed the next lesson in my 1st degree course through WitchSchool, so, if things continue to progress by this time next year I'll be a "degreed" witch, which, frankly, also makes me deeply happy. I also got my usual "B" on the next tarot 101 lesson... so go me.
Today I was a total "soccer mom" in that I drove everywhere. This morning we stopped at my coffee shop (Amore Coffee, NOT Cafe Amore,) deposited some moola in the bank, faxed the pages with corrections of my reader's proofs to Penguin USA, went to the eye doctor to get Mason's glasses fixed (I sat on them), went to the Sprawl to get the soon-to-be-discontinued Darth Vader Tie Fighter LEGO set, and then to Paperback Exchange to pick up two "new to us" Calvin and Hobbes (Yukon Ho! and Lazy Sunday Calvin & Hobbes)... then, after lunch it's going be back to the doctor to see what's up with Mason's ears -- he's got something that seems like water in the ear, but it's not going away.
Okay, must go play with LEGOs.
