Having One of Those Days

 Where I feel like everyone is cooler than I am. 

My big excitement this week? Rolling up a D&D character for a new campaign.

My friends: Traveling to Seoul, Korea for a writing conference, posting on FB about having had brunch at a Drag cafe, going to concerts, having just returned to their cool lives doing art, etc.

Me: But, he's an elf! And a barbarian!

Anyway, not in need of a great deal of support or advice, just wanted to acknowledge that we all have these moments and I'm having mine.

Ha, yes. I just booked railway travel to go into the office next week. I haven't even left the flat today.

Years ago, early one evening, I had some very boring groceries and for checking out I ended up queued behind a guy who was buying a very large quantity of beer and condoms.

I will post about the game once we start it. I am very excited to return to D&D. As I told my new GM, the last time I played D&D there was only "regular" and AD&D. So 5E should be new and exciting for me.

Great, my eldest runs a 5E campaign, keeps them busy each week consulting books and making notes and such! It'll be fun to read of your experiences.

But we did get to hang out with one of my favorite authors last week (it you), and Hans and I wrote a new song on Tuesday!

More D&D is better than getting appliances repaired...

As I mentioned above, I am finally returning to the game after many years. I was a big gamer in high school, college, and a bit after college until I rage quit a Call of Cthulhu game. I recently came back for some Star Trek RPG and am now generally hungry for role-playing.

My biggest excitement of the week was an anonymous donor dropping a big chunk in my half-price poetry sale. So not even something I did, personally.
