I was just over at jimhines's website reading all his thoughts about book piracy and checking out his cartoons and pie charts, I realized that he must work very hard. I'm lucky most days if I can motivate myself to blog about my fish or remember to post the silly observation Mason and I had the other day about how BIG Clifford the Big Red Dog's "yellow snow" must be...

And, now I see that matociquala is complaining about how difficult it is to be famous. Hmmmm, I can sympathize with what she has to say, honestly, but, on the flip side, this is _so_ not a problem for me.

Maybe I should stay off the internet today. I seems to be making my eyes greener by the minute.

I have writing to do, anyway.

I may write more about this because I hung out with people who know me first through my books last night, and I had absolutely no sense of this whole authorial construct thing. BUT, my situation is really very different. Tate was not someone I wanted to construct, per se. I've had fun with her, certainly. But the decision to invent her was my publisher's idea. No one told me I needed to have two seperate web sites, but it was explained that Lyda fans might become Tate fans, but that the reverse was much less likely to happen.

At any rate, any time I dress up as Tate I do it fully aware that I'm just being silly.... (and honestly, she's so high maintanence, I don't do the whole hair and make up thing very often.)
