Y'all were like "Oh, Lyda, SOMEONE will want the quilt you keep calling gaudy/ugly." We shall see, my friends. WE. SHALL. SEE.
I put this up for grabs on Facebook. I will be surprised if any one wants it, but I put a weird amount of work into it. My only comfort is that Buttercup loves sparkly things and if no one really wants it (and I can't find a charity that will take it), it's clear that he will love it.
Okay, I already have to eat my words. Someone has claimed it. I can not believe it.
Here are the pictures:

Image: Red, white, and pink quilt with a center piece featuring red, pink, and white frosted donuts. So. Much. Glitter.
Close-up on center piece with donuts:

Image: Donut hearts. Who made this fabric, and WHY????

Image: The back (or, if one prefers, the front) of the quilt.

Image: Close up of the hearts (on my sunny porch, so you get deep shade, too!)
And, finally, the weird amount of work. In order to tie the front to the back, I sewed little hand cut hearts into the hem. Because, I don't know... I guess I really enjoyed cutting and sewing hearts. (Honestly, I kind of did? There was something that felt very "crafty" about it all.)

Image: Well, I am keeping up my New Year resolution getting rid of all this fabric.
And, yeah, the heats on the hem might fall off at some point. I will have to warn the recipient that, as with all of my quilts, it's probably best to wash gently or maybe only handwash, as some of my stitching is very amateur. I had a weird amount of fun with this, despite myself. I may be ready to start another fannish quilt, but I will say that it is very SATISFYING to get rid of some of this fabric, especially to a good home!
