Two Mummies

Here's a picture of Mason in his mummy costume that appeared in the Star Tribune (photo by Jeffery Thompson, staff photographer.) We were on our way to Sargent Street in Saint Paul, which is a one block area that is closed off every year for Halloween.  We hadn't planned on going there specifically, but our dear friend Sean M. Murphy suggested we check it out.  It was, in a word, awesome.  Entire families (including their dogs) dressed up.  Every single house on the block had gone all out.  It was mind boggling, honestly.  We didn't get a ton of candy, but I suspect that's because according to an earlier article in the Tribune, that neighborhood expects nearly 2,000 visitors on Halloween night.

Mason, in case you can't tell, had a blast.  Although he really loved handing out candy at home too.

Soooo cute! Make sure one of you send it to my mom. She'll looove it - and since they had to be out of town for Dad's work yesterday, I'm sure she'll need a cute-kid-in-costume fix. :)

Wow! There are a TON of shots of Mason on the slide show. Thanks for the link. (You can also hear me telling Mason that he's "rotting" because part of his costume fell off.)

Yes, you do. It was funny, actually, because the Star Tribune folks kind of stalked us paperatizi style for a few houses. I felt very "on camera" and suspected that we might make the paper... though I'm impressed by the volume of shots of Mason on the slide show.

And, you ALWAYS have good ideas.
