Chronic pain is awful. You have all my sympathy. I had nerve pain for a month and gained a huge amount of sympathy for people who suffer that kind of thing (or even half or a fourth of that king of thing)... always. It would make me insane, and, yes, much, much less socially capable.

I do wonder about the return volley of the TMI. Shawn (my wife) said that when she goes into TMI, she will sometimes only get the awkward chuckle as a reply, so I mean... maybe Minnesotans are better at just continuing not to tell the feelings?? Anyway, I get the desire to reply with TMI of one's own.
