I'm not going to say "yes, you DO need to get out more" (because life has demands,) but I will underline how much fun it is to play tourist in your own town. If you get a chance, I highly recommend it. This little venture was expensive, $30 a ticket? (For three people, that felt like a lot, I guess.)
But, there are often things like this that are really not. Like, I'm still thinking about some of the tours that our Community Ed Program offers. Like, there's apparently a Prospect Park Walking Tour (which I've already missed, bummer,), but also a Cemetery Walking Tour coming up here in October that costs about the same per person, $36, but which might be fun to do, too.
And, yeah, I'm very, very excited for Mason. He spent last night filling out his W-4 or whatever and other paperwork. I can't wait to hear more about what he'll actually be DOING, but go him!
