I read the book after watching seasons one and two. I agree that the book is a B, but I don't know if I'd feel that way if I had never seen the show. The plot diverges from the television show, and this is a rare occasion where I believe TV improved upon the book. Plus, the major characters start out similar to how Lindsay wrote them, but eventually grow in quite different directions.
I've been reading a lot this summer. Just finished SHARP OBJECTS by Gillian Flynn. Also been cooking more than ever in my life, thanks to weekly vegetable deliveries. Still, I'm not keeping up with them and had to discard quite a bit this past weekend to make room for incoming. And that's after giving away several batches.
